SEIZING THE AIRWAVES - A Free Radio Handbook
edited by Ron Sakolsky & Stephen Dunifer, 1998

"The first book to document and emphasize the myriad voices of the free radio movement, from Black Liberation Radio in Springfield, Illinois, to Free Radio Berkeley in Berkeley, California. The first section, "Media Monopoly And The Rise Of The Free Radio Movement" includes contributions from Robert McChesney on the political economy of radio in North America and a history and analysis of the burgeoning pirate radio movement. The second section, "On The Air," includes interviews with and commentary by some of the key grassroots participants in micropower broadcasting worldwideβ€”from Canada, Holland, Haiti, and Mexico, as well as America. The final section of the book consists of a comprehensive technical guide and how-to manual for going on the air, complete with schematics and "sound" advice."

In this report, we cover the first day of grassroots resistance to Putin's invasion of #Ukraine in both #Russia and Ukraine and in other parts of the worldβ€”including information about how people can support anarchists in both countries, as well as Ukrainians who have been forced to flee.

MUTUAL FIRE BRIGADE
by Cindy Milstein

Printing Version (Imposed)

β€œMutual Fire Brigade was written by Cindy Milstein for the March 2019 issue of DOPE 5, an anarchistic magazine published in so-called London, and distributed free to those behind bars and those without homes. See dogsection.org/dope/. Jeff Clark kindly and beautifully transformed it into this zine. Here’s an excerpt:

β€œThe question isn’t how to become ambulance chasers in relation to suffering, or how to accelerate social collapse. Rather, it concerns our desire and growing capacity to self-determine and self-organize within those fissures. Or rephrased, it’s a question of our desire and capacity to point toward a different fork in the road: fascism, extinction, or as a fellow troublemaker put it, β€˜successful anarchism.'”

QUEBEC'S 2012 STUDENT STRIKE
ORGANIZE TO STRIKE, FIGHT TO WIN!

"In February 2012, students in Quebec launched an unlimited general strike to fight back against a 75% hike in university tuition fees. Contrary to the expectations of many, the strike movement lasted more than six months, morphing into one of the largest periods of social unrest the province had ever seen.[...]

This pamphlet, which addresses the history of the 2012 Quebec student strike, as well as many related topics, is our humble attempt to contribute to the efforts of those wanting to build democratic and combative social movements, with a strong potential to win."
